Hi this is Ann, and I'm a new starter with this blogging!, so please be patient with me...
I must say its taken a bit of perseverance to get this thing set up - just hope I can remember all the passwords.
I started at CCAD in September this year doing costume construction for stage and screen - I've been wanting to do this sort of thing for years - I hope I'm not dissappointed! Actually, I wont have time to be diassapointed as its really full on work. Amost to Christmas - my how time flies.
We've been doing embellishment workhops for several weeks prior to working on a quarter-size traditional costume for our first assigment. I've chosen a Masaai costume after much deliberation, I feel its going well eventhough there's still some work to do. In construction we are all doing victorian bathing suits which is fun, I'm quite satisifed on how mine is going so far - just had the final fitting today and no alterations needed so thats really great. Means no time wasted altering things. Just have all the tech and research and construction files to finish. Then there is contextual studies ......
We're off to London next week - looking forward to all the trips that are planned and the ones we have lined up ourselves. I'll just have to keep my hands tied when it comes to fabric - I have a serious addiction!!
